Surprise Brisbane Powerhouse Wedding

Peita and Andrew hosted a surprise wedding at the Brisbane Powerhouse in New Farm – guests were expecting an engagement party! They wanted a modern location near the river, and Watt Modern Dining at the Powerhouse was the perfect venue for them. Beautiful Peita was so clever to pick just the right shade of raspberry red for her Bridesmaids who all look gorgeous in the hue.

Ben and Justine have an amazing way of making people feel comfortable and relaxed in front of camera – at one stage Ben was singing loudly at the entrance of the Powerhouse while we were having photos done! As it was a surprise wedding we had the majority of our photos taken prior to the wedding ceremony and then some taken between the ceremony and reception.

Pink Ribbon-themed Yarra Valley Wedding

Samantha and Billy defied convention by choosing a Bridesman and a Best Woman to witness their wedding in the gorgeous Yarra Valley. They chose a pretty classical pink theme with a hint of vintage and every guest wore a pink ribbon thanks to the couple’s wedding donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. What an inspiration!

Classic Tweed Coast Resort Wedding

Gold Coast couple Lisa and Matt were married at the Balinese-inspired Santai resort at Casuarina Beach, on the Tweed Coast, where the couple celebrated their engagement. Hawkesbury Valley, NSW Wedding

Ballroom dancer and DIY guru Leezar and her husband Corey chose red apples as their wedding theme as their favourite saying is that they are the apple of each others’ eye. How sweet! The colour palette of red (Corey’s favourite colour), chocolate brown (Leezar’s favourite colour) and champagne was woven throughout their special day in historic Windsor, NSW. Not even October showers could rain on this love fest.

Simple and Classy Adelaide Church Wedding

Emily and Kyle wanted a relaxed and simple but classy wedding day. They chose the lovely St Laurence’s Catholic Church in the City of Churches and followed up with a cocktail reception and dancing at the gorgeous Ayers House in the Adelaide CBD. They were clever to save on costs in a lot of areas of their wedding. And how about that dress, perfectly mirrored in the folds of the cake. Simply breathtaking!

Traditional Sydney Inner West Wedding

Amanda and Paul glowed at their traditional wedding for 75 guests in Cabarita, in Sydney’s inner west. Their venue selection was carefully chosen to allow their guests to enjoy the harbour, sand and bush setting; also a perfect backdrop for their wedding photos. The ivory, gold and chocolate colour palette echoes the simple elegance of their big day.

Black and White Hunter Valley Wedding

Sarah and Adam’s uber-classy wedding in the Hunter Valley is a picture of sophistication. The couple wanted a relaxed, light and airy feel to the day with a touch of rustic. The gorgeous vineyard scenery, moody sky, and simple elegance of a white, ivory and cream palette with touches of black created a magical setting for their special day. And who could forget *those* desserts.

Romantic Maleny Manor Wedding

Brisbane couple Edwina and Dan chose the glorious Sunshine Coast hinterland spot of Maleny for their uber-romantic wedding. The old-world theme for the wedding evolved from the colour and style of Edwina’s divine white gold dress (a perfect match for her complexion). The couple really embraced “handmade”, ordering most of their wedding accessories through online handmade marketplace Etsy, as well as making their own wedding stationery and bonboniere. The result was a wedding that was as fun as it was breathtaking. Enjoy!

Classic Brisbane City Church Wedding

It was a glorious clear Spring day for Danielle and Lawrence’s lovely wedding in Brisbane. The couple chose to hold their ceremony in Danielle’s school chapel next to the Story Bridge and celebrated in downtown Brisbane at the Tattersall’s Club. Classic, elegant and classy.

Classic Brisbane River View Wedding

Anna and Dugald held a gorgeous, classic wedding at St Mary’s Anglican Church in Brisbane, where Anna’s great grandparents were married. Their reception was held at a historic house in nearby New Farm, overlooking the Brisbane River. I love the bold navy sash that Anna wore, tying in beautifully with her bridesmaid’s dresses.
