Flinders, Mornington Penninsula Wedding

Lovely Elizabeth and golf enthusiast Gary wanted a small, friendly wedding with a focus on spending time with friends and family in Gary’s family holiday town of Flinders, Victoria. The main feature of seaside Flinders on the Mornington Penninsula is the headland golf course which is also where the ashes of Gary’s late Father are scattered. The couple chose an Autumn colour scheme for their flowers (that are just gorgeous) and the Bridesmaids’ dresses.

Couple: Elizabeth and Gary
Date: 24th March, 2007
Location: Flinders, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
Photography: Ellen Dewar (Eclipse Images). Ellen is not usually a wedding photographer but we chose her because she is a friend and we love her images and her down to earth way of working.  We felt comfortable with her.  She has photographed all the special moments in our life and is currently doing family portraits for us (our baby Hannah is one year old).

Romantic Dutch-Australian Brisbane Wedding

Talented ceramicist, graphic designer and curator of online indie art gallery Udessi, Kim simply glowed at her wedding to Greg in Brisbane. The theme for the day was Australian-Dutch vintage to incorporate both of their countries as a symbol of two heritages uniting as one. Kim and Greg were lucky to have most of their close family and friends visit for the wedding from the Netherlands, USA, Canada, UK, Chile, Darwin and Perth. Oh, and Kim also did an amazing job designing the Real Wedding Ideas Australia website – we think she’s pretty clever!

Couple: Kim and Greg
Date: 29th September, 2006
Location: New Farm and Brisbane CBD, Queensland
Photography: John Bowden Photography. John was so great throughout the day. He guided us through everything, took beautiful photos for us to remember the day by, and was so cool and calm, which really helped us to relax and just enjoy the day!

Simple and Classy Adelaide Church Wedding

Emily and Kyle wanted a relaxed and simple but classy wedding day. They chose the lovely St Laurence’s Catholic Church in the City of Churches and followed up with a cocktail reception and dancing at the gorgeous Ayers House in the Adelaide CBD. They were clever to save on costs in a lot of areas of their wedding. And how about that dress, perfectly mirrored in the folds of the cake. Simply breathtaking!

Traditional Sydney Inner West Wedding

Amanda and Paul glowed at their traditional wedding for 75 guests in Cabarita, in Sydney’s inner west. Their venue selection was carefully chosen to allow their guests to enjoy the harbour, sand and bush setting; also a perfect backdrop for their wedding photos. The ivory, gold and chocolate colour palette echoes the simple elegance of their big day.

Classic Brisbane River View Wedding

Anna and Dugald held a gorgeous, classic wedding at St Mary’s Anglican Church in Brisbane, where Anna’s great grandparents were married. Their reception was held at a historic house in nearby New Farm, overlooking the Brisbane River. I love the bold navy sash that Anna wore, tying in beautifully with her bridesmaid’s dresses.
